Statistics has it that 8 out of every 10 household has an entertainer be it musician, comedian,mc, creator,dancer,producer or a chorister e.t.c. this implies that the number of musicians in Nigeria is increasing everyday that passesby,in a simple term,the competition in the entertainment industry is at a high level which intels that anyone who wants to gain fame and money must bring his/her A-game to the table else such a person will start looking for people to blame for not supporting their craft,which brings me to the question of what make an artiste exceptional? In a circle were there is high level of contest which sometimes leads to rivalry.
This brings ADIDI TV ponder over the success of Egyptian cairo overtime with the big question of what makes Egyptian cairo exceptional? Egyptian is a Nigerian rapper from Benue state,who also base in the heart of makurdi the Benue state capital where he won the heart of many within and outside the state, Egyptian is a rapper that delivers his craft in his local dialet (Tiv) which most people refer to as local rapper just like the likes of late Dagrin,Olamide, Reminisce,phyno and the host of others, Egyptian cairo is generally accepted for his genre and way of delivery in terms of music,but the real question is what make him stands out? Is it because he raps in his local dialet which of course makes him unique like the likes of phyno or he is just too talented?
It is a straight fact that Egyptian cairo is not the only rapper from Benue state that raps in his local dialet (tiv) as the likes of Too prince cannot be left out in such a debate,but Too prince is not the topic of discussion for today,so pardon me and let a sleeping dog lie,it’s my believe that Egyptian gains his fans love not just because he raps in tiv though that also is an attribute but because Egyptian brings this story telling concept in his music and songs that captures his listeners attention to his music mostly stories about either current happenings in the society or trending gist on social media or sometimes even stories about daily life hustle or something that affects or things most people can relate to within their family, community, environment e.t.c. Egyptian has this funny way of putting this stories together and at the same time interpreting it to the understanding of his fans and any body that’s cares to listen just in a song of 3 mins.
The bet9ja crooner rose to fame after the release of bet9ja single which later made Egyptian Bet9ja ambassador of benue state in early 2000’s he is also the one amongst the IYACOIN ambassador which also includes Rapizo,jenny Doo and biggy Tera, Cairo is no doubt an exceptional artiste with talent and he knows how to use it.
Egyptian who launched an album last year December 2021 has hit songs to his name which includes baba junior,Bet9ja,1,500 and more.
